Youth Musical Theatre Workshops

Join us this summer for an exciting round of musical theatre workshops!
Throughout the week, youth will be instructed in the fundamentals of acting, singing, and dancing from
trained professionals that have performed on Broadway, Off-Broadway, and around the world.
At the end of the week, participants will put their skills to use as they perform a short
musical theatre production, showcasing what they have learned during the week!
SUMMER 2010 SCHEULE
Each session lasts one week (excluding Sunday) beginning and ending on Wednesdays.
The first day of the session (Wednesday) begins at 1:00 pm and ends at 3:00 pm
All other days will begin at 9:00 am and end at 12:30 pm.
The final performance will begin at 11:00 am on the final day of the session.
Week One (June 16-23): PIRATES OF THE SNAKE RIVER (ages 7-11)
Week Two (June 23-30): BEST OF BROADWAY (ages 11-18)
Week Three (June 30-July 7): HAIRSPRAY! (ages 11-18)
Week Four (July 7-14): CHARLOTTE'S WEB (ages 7-11)
Week Five (July 14-21): BEST OF BROADWAY (ages 7-13)
Week Six (July 21-28): HAIRSPRAY! (ages 11-18)
THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF OZ
Join us this summer for two special sessions with guest teacher
Tregony Shepard, Broadway veteran and owner of The
Broadway Connection school in Arizona.
Week Seven (July 28-Augst 4): THE WIZ (ages 7-12)

Tuition
Tuition per performer:
$250 a week (special discounts available for registration in multiple sessions)
**$400 for two-week WICKED session**

A Deposit of $100 is required upon registration.
The remaining balance is due the Friday before the session begins.
Lunch at the Playhouse
For an additional $30 a week,
participants can enjoy Lunch in the
Saddle Rock Family Saloon
after the workshop each day.
($60 for the WICKED session)
The meal includes one entree from the Youth Menu, a drink, and a rollicking good time with our singing waiters!
PRIVATE VOICE LESSONS
Broadway Veteran Tregony Shepherd will be offering private voice lessons while she is here! Lessons are available to all ages at $30 each half-hour lesson! Slots are limited, so sign up now!

Meet our Staff
JEREMIAH GINN has been Director of Playtime at the Playouse for the last two years and Director of the 6th Street Playhouse Summer Theater Workshop for three years. He is currently a Senior at BYU where he will receive his BFA in Music/Dance/Theater in April. As choreographer, music director, and performer in various musicals and productions, Jeremiah has extensive experience in the arts, having taught and performed in many parts of the United States and around the world. On top of singing and dancing, he is a proficient pianist. But what he loves most is using music, dance, and theater to inspire kids to be the best they can be.
CODY WALKER is delighted to be returning to beautiful Jackson Hole, having first worked at the playhouse in 2002 in Oklahoma. He has extensive experience in the theater,having been involved in the business since he was six years old. He has been performing proffesionally for 11 years and has performed in over 30 countries. Cody holds a BFA in Music/Dance/Theater from BYU. He was director of the Chamberlain's Performing and Fine Arts Academy based out of Los Angeles, involving hundreds of children performing large Broadway scale productions at Pepperdine University. Cody loves working with and inspiring children through the arts and seeing them grow as they develop their own talents.
